A huge statue of a wolf stood above the long flight of stairs. Forest surrounded the temple and a well of moonwater (Water touched by the light of the moon) lay to the side of the steps. A wolf of gleaming white light stood by the statue. Nobody noticed her but if you looked closely the wolf was the same as the statue. Moonwolf entered the woods and walked watching the world around her.

Ariona Hoarforst broke into a dead run towards the temple, It was the only place she knew of in the recent vicinity which had lake in the near by forest. Galloping in her Unicorn form her coat shimmered under the light of the moon, making the blood along her back legs glisten.
It was sheer will power that kept her running as her strength was sapped, Some stupid hunter had set a trap in the forest, Ariona was surprised that hunters were aloud to set traps for Unicorns. Escaping with a gash in her leg she ran straight, not wishing the ignorant men to discover that she wasn’t quite what they were after.
The temple was empty save for the statues, she staggered towards the water before collapsing down into a lake still in view of the temple, although the lake was shielded by tree’s the light still shone through, but then it commonly did in these lands. Lowering her mouth to the water she drank deeply before passing out in the pond, the light of the moon lighting her body in an ethereal way from Horn to tail.

Moonwolf raised her head to the smell of blood in the air. She ran towards the source coming from the pond. A unicorn was there hurt drinking deeply in the water. Moonwolf suddenly glowed till a wolf didn't stand there anymore. A girl instead walked towards the unicorn her hair flowing the black and brown streaks hiding in the white.
Moonwolf bent down to look at the unicorn's hurt leg and touched softly right above it. She turned and in her hand she held an empty bottle. She took it to the Moonwater and let some go into the bottle. Moonwolf murmered soflty a few words that sounded like moonheal, healmoon, I heal, you heal, forever heal. She carefully poured the contents onto the unicorn's hurt leg and watched the gash sparkle.

Arionas’s eyes shot open as the odd sensation clawed its way over her leg, shaking her head and allowing her silvery mane to flop down over wine side, she swung her head back to see a woman stand, near her injured leg. First instinct was panic but she was quite weak from the last few days of running on a wound. The waters however sense her agitation and begin to ripple and lap the shore quite violently, not something you commonly see in a still water lake.
Her voice however betrayed her anxiety, she’d always been good at hiding her true feelings in her voice but the water was a direct feed on her real emotions. “Why are you healing me? You can’t be one of the hunters… They have no wish for me alive..n Unless they wish to break me of course, but you don’t look that type either…” She scoffed and then remembered than Unicorns weren’t exactly supposed to talk…

Moonwolf looked up her brown eyes glowing and answered,"Your hurt so I heal." She glanced towards the forest where the hunters should be but nobody was there. "You should be safe here or else," she said eyes flashing to amber then back to brown. "The hunters wouldn't dare come to the temple searching for a unicorn or the Moon Goddess will be angry." Moonwolf looked at the wound and saw that the magical water had done the job and she looked towards the temple. She turned to the unicorn and said,"Go to the temple beautiful unicorn of water I wish you well."
Moonwolf ran to the forest until she was hidden behind the trees and a white light with a hint of blue covered her until the white wolf of the moon stood there again. Moonwolf watched and waited to make sure the unicorn would be okay and kept watch for the hunters.

Ariona got to her feet, a little unstably. Her tail swishing out behind her, her wounds were healed, but the lethargy of the chase was still set in her legs. her muscles stretched and retracted as she placed herself in the middle of the pond, trying to see if she could see the one who had healed her. Regretting the fact that she could not thank her but wanted to be alone when she recharged herself and changed.
The water began to wave around her, lapping at her hooves and legs, before reaching up, covering her body, mane and finally her nose. This would usually be over quickly, but the water was also recharging her. The water fell away, leaving a woman sat peacefully in the water.
Ariona shook her hair and stood up, oddly enough there was no water on her body, neither her clothes or hair was wet. She walked slowly up to the temple, it was really beautiful inside.
"d**ned hunters, They should not be allowed any where near a place such as this."
As she cursed them the water outside the temple still reacted to her emotions, slamming down onto the side of the water.

Moonwolf was satisfied and trotted towards the statue of the wolf. Moonlight seemed to glow around the wolf and the wolf seemed to be sucked itn othe eyes of the statue. Inside Moonwolf watched and whoever comes to pray she would use her powers to help them. Over the forest light faded from only that area strangely as the moon goddess focused her powers there.
Moonwolf knew no hunter would be able to see in that. She silently watched and helped inside the statue. No one knew she was there but she was. THis was one way to hear their prayers. But sometimes she did not help them.
