"Yes but that would take time. to build all these stores and money. Placing the hero under guard that is simple. it would work to my benefit I would get a few of my troops in the ranks. You know your self how the common grunt talks. why would a hero need bodyguards if they are ment to be so powerfull? They must be a fake the king is lieing to us." he took another sip and wondered how she would deal with that.

"Time- we've got enough of that to start before the first blow hits, he's not taking any immediate action- his base is still small. The fear is only just seeping in. But, I suppose, if pressed, he could start with the food stores then work over to the people- I hear there are some ruins near the castle- I'd renovate those and use them... As for money; a war tax is something the people are used to, and, if he's as good at speeches as I've heard, he'll have no trouble persuading that the tax is in the name of good and such... As long as he removes it when the war is over, there should be no prickling skins." She took in more grog, and, said, "Well: who said that the body guards had to be formal? Stick him as the captain of a squadron of specially trained men, have them tail him in battle and bunk with him at night... there should be no obvious conflict. It would be natural to propose that one stand guard as the others rest- it would not seem so suspicious... if they keep to their own flasks, that is. Some sort of sleeping poison would not be friendly. I know from experience."

"Yes That would sort out that problem. Then what I would do would be to possion there water. The more broken the soldier are the more chance of wining I would have. Its lucky I am a man of honor then." he fineshed a drink.

"Man of honor..." she repeated, reaching for her mug- dammit, it was empty, "Well, does that mean that you will not be joining the rebels, or mean that you might join the rebels, just not poison the water supply if you do? Or, are you referring to something else that I'm not catching on to?"
She looked down- her drink had been filled (that was a fast bartender), but, before she could take another sip, felt a hand press to her lips. She looked up: it was the bar-minder.
"Give me the flint in your pocket."
"I haven't got any flint on me."
"A ranger with no flint? Hand it over." Groaning, she flicked out the stone and placed it in his uncurled palm. "You'll get this back in the morning."
"Don't you think this is a bit over kill?"
He raised her eyebrows at her and turned away.
"Anyway, back to our conversation."

"No I will not join the rebellion or the empire. At the moment it benefits me to play each side of a job for the rebellion here a job for the empire here. I told you I am a soldier of forture. If how ever it became person I would choice a side." he laughed as the man took the flint off of her.

"Oh, yes. It's very funny, isn't it? I've been mugged by a bartender." But she smiled, and, said,
"A soldier of fortune, eh? You're a very interesting man, Vardane." She allowed herself more Grog- this pacing thing wasn't working out for her, was it? Well, she deserved it, anyway. Or, at least, she would pretend as though she did.
"I, myself, am a loyalist. Eventually, I intend to turn myself to the king and offer my service in however he sees fit. It was personal for me since I heard of the war- I care too much for things of far away- but how would this war become personal to you, Sir Vardane? What could sway you?"

"I don't know it depends what's on offer. I don't know we will have to see what the future has to offer?" he drank the drink and placed the empty container on the bar. "It could be worse you could of been muged by some one who dose not own a bar which you are drinking in?"

"Aye," she agreed, smiling, "It's the reason I let him do it: hate to have the inflow of rum jeopardized.
Pausing to reflect on his last statement, she tipped her glass toward her lips, using the grog as a a staler.
"So- you are saying you will, perhaps, in the end, be bought into the war? Or do you mean something else by 'offer?'" This idea troubled her- she did not like the idea of someone being bought into a war- and Vardane didn't strike her as the type...

"No in time I know I will have to pick I side. At the moment there is no need for it. I have time to watch and choice which side I will join." he smiled he always did this never jumped to one side or another.

"And how will you choose? By what you deem morally correct? Or by who you deem will have a victory?" She put the goblet to her lips, and, a moment later- it was empty; she was going through drinks far too quickly...
This idea upset her as well; if Vardane was the man of honor he assured her he was - surely it would be the first to determine his answer... but if it was not- she would loathe a battle between them; and the idea of attempting to kill someone like Vardane rattled her: he was, by and by, a good man.

"Neather I do not care who wins becase there will always be another war. Morality is something that is subjective but the person who is making the choice. I do not know which side will gain my servises just yet. I may not even get involved any more than I am. But in truth I know I will."
He knew he had to be part of this. he hurd prayes all year from both side asking for his favor and neather side had drawn him closer to there cause. he was still on the fence.

Her lips lifted into a steely smile; and, tipping herself more drink, she said,
"Ah, well. I'll hope for my side, shall I? We could use a soldier like you, Vardane, and, besides," pausing to place her drink on the table upon the frosty round of water left from the drink's previous position, added, "I'd hate to go to war against you. I like you far too much to try to kill you. Even for the empire."
She laughed, saying, "But- that's the tradition of war, eh? Pitting people who would be friendly against each other. It's a sad thing."
She looked to her glass- how many had it been now? And, as if waiting for that thought to tangle her thoughts, she felt that familiar, hazy warmth that often came before sheer drunkenness- she would have to warn him soon...

"Yes that is true I would hate to have to kill you. that is one the only things I dislike about war is that you have to kill people you get on with or would posibaly be someone you would like."
He seen it all so many time brother agenst brother just becase the took a coin from difrent sides he even seen lovers fighr agenst each other.

"Hm. I wonder... what would I do if I saw you on the other side of the field?" She stopped to think, ignoring the creeping warmth searing up her neck- it was from the grog, no doubt- clinging to her sharpness of mind as long as was allowed, and focused herself upon the question, "I don't think I could attack you," she said, slowly, her long, flowing finger swirling without decision about the lip of a mug, "Perhaps I'd send some scouts on you? No- no, I don't think I would do that either. In fact, I don't think I'd like to see people actually- you know- attack you either. Oh dear. This is problematic, isn't it? Dammed loyalty. It's one of my great flaws." Her brows furrowed in worry, and, her slender hand coming to graze and support her chin, as is seen in thought, said, "Well. I don't have to make any decisions now... I'll just. Hope for the best, then?"
As she let her mind furl away from the question- the heat began to coat her eyes again, and she was reminded to warn him.
"Sir Vardane- I am beginning to feel rather frilled with that warmth that often comes before a person becomes drunk beyond repair. If I start acting oddly, you may blame the drink."

"Well to be fair I am starting to feel the sma emy self. so anything foolish we do we shall blame on the drink."
He closed his eyes for a second he let him self become drunk. It was a warm felling one he did not truly understand.
"Well let us hope that I choice the side you are on. That why you will not have to see me atack." and see me kill those you are responsibal for. he added to him self.
