Dark Waters watched the two walk away ready to fight if the female raised her sword to plunge it into her heart. They had entered the gate and Dark Waters was satisfied. She waited a bit longer then took of in flight.
Soon she had disappered into the sky. No sign of her was anywhere except burnt grass. Dark Waters had left a mark to show that she had been there.

"ha yeah there is allways a lot to forget." He downed his drink he not know when to get drunk so he keep pace with her that way he would not get drunk to fast or slow. he smiled and ordered another this time he payed for both he placed a bag of coins on the table. "Let me know when that runs out ok." He knew that it would not run out for a long time. "That should also pay for two of your best rooms."
He watched as the bar tender greedly snached up the bag and shoock it he nodded. he watch as the bag vanished.

"I- what are you- Now, Sir Vardane, I said I would pay." Her brow furrowed, but, sighing, her expression cleared, and she shattered into a smile. "Well, thank you for that."
She took another sip of her goblet, and began to poke about for conversation,
"Well... that dragon came rather without explanation, didn't it?"

"Again? When was the last time?" She took another spill of her drink- it was very warm...
She pulled up closer to the bar, drinking deeper then she should have: she would have to be careful if she didn't want to get drunk.
But, then again, that was probably inevitable, wasn't it?
Another thing to make note of: he believed in fate- she was glad: so did she. It gave life more of a point, didn't it?

"And now we deal with the remnants," she nodded, looking pensive, fingering her drink, the heat spilling into the tips of her fingers.
She turned to a grin when she saw him down his drink, and, taking this as an excuse for her to do the same, followed suit, saying, "Well- if you get drunk, you can't imagine that I'd stay behind."
As their drinks were filled, she delved deeper into the current war:
"What do you think of this war, Sir Vardane?"

ah something he understood beter than any one who walked the earth he would have to be carefull not to go in to details.
"war is part of being human. I find it intresting that there has been to my knolage no major battle as yet. It looks to me if both sides are testing the other. Both side forces are low. The first part of the war will be to gain powerfull followers. Like the dragons and other creature of note."

"Hm." She nodded; that would have been her first move, if she had been the head of one of the two opposing forces. "Well, then, the empire has the upper hand, eh? Much easier to seek out, and more moral cause to join it... I am under the impression that, when put to the grinder, men will side with their country."
She whisked her drink from the finishing bartender, and, after another swallow, said, "I wonder- how will the rebels stage this war? From what I've heard, the king is taking a defensive stance- he's got a lot on his plate with all the raids, and I'm not expecting any kind of offensive stance for the time being. But how are they advertising their cause, these rebels? They will need more then just dragons to win this war: mortal soldiers are the best for masses, and a couple of good elvish archers could take out their dragons in minutes."

"That may be true. I think our dragon who chaced us was part of there strategy. Fear is a weapon that is more powerfull than any thing. If the humans of the empire are scared then they are week and my join with the rebellion. just so they avaoid what may happen sell there soul so to speek so that there familys will be safe. threaten the family so the warriors will fall in line fear is the bigest factor in this."

"Oh, Gods, I hate that trick." She sighed, her brow furrowing in discontent. "I've heard it done and studied it many times; it stops men from fighting for what they honor. Fear is a great and terrible weapon. One of the upsides of not having a family, in my case. Not one I care to protect, anyway."
Dammit- that was the rum talking... Saying things like that.
She paused, and then, more brightly this time, added, "Well, history shows that fear creates a rickety alliance; even if the rebels when the war, they'll have a hard time keeping it that way for long. Many dictators fear those they oppress more then anything else."

"Yes that may be true. I know this the rebellion will not play fair at all. They will try and undermine everyhting the empire stands for. who knows how many of the genrals are loyal to the king? How many have sold out of power? If it was me my first move would be to buy those close to the king and kill those who will not sell them self to me. Then I would go after the real threat."

She winced; that was a terrifying prospect... She was, after all, a loyalist.
"Hopefully the rebels are not as cleaver as you, Sir Vardane. Generals, untrue to king? That's frightening enough- hopefully the king is weary... and paying well. However, more important then the King and his generals is the stamina of the people: even if we have enough to gain a victory, when the soldiers see dragons above them hope will run low. If I were the king I'd set up a hero scout as soon as possible; we're going to need a 'chosen one' of ill-bred decent, or at least someone who looks enough the part."

"Yes true the commoners are the key. My next move would be to use the dragons to burn the food. starve them and brake them. Then if the empire apeared to have this hero you speek of. I would arange for them to be killed in there sleep."
This felt like a giant game of chest he was enjoing this. Tactics was one of his favrate games. He took a swig of his ale.
(((ooc I thinking of playing the lead bady)))

[OOC: Haha. That'll be interesting, and terrible for my side. You're far too good at this.]
"Well, wouldn't the King have his hero protected? That would be my first move- find the hero, put him on a pedestal on the front lines, and keep him better protected then any during and out of battle." She decided to par him; she was enjoying herself- she had a bit of military training and far too much politics, and, though she loathed the front runners in said field (excluding the king- he didn't strike her as the common grime that most of the social climbers were), was decent with them. "And, as for the fields, that would be the king's next move, wouldn't it? Recruit the men and protected their families- I'd get some sort of fortress and some good, old fashioned stone-built stores." And, as an after thought, "Dwarvish stone would be a nice lining to the armor, as well. Flame resistant, yet light weight."
