This is just a 1 post, there are more around it but they aren't mine, but this was My chars entrance into a set up between my other friend, and I just REALLY liked the post, So i thought I'd share xD. (This is literally 1 post, second in the thread but the 1st has not connection to it.)
The fighting had been going on for so long now. The days and nights had blended together into one endless battle. The vampires rarely needed sleep, nor did the other things that they were fighting. Tíamantaí however was battling beside her mate, his parents, and her mother. This was the way things were supposed to be.
As each expert slice of her blade hit its mark, flesh was cut and bones cracked. The weariness however was starting to seep into her muscles once more. No-one was supposed to fight this long without a rest and the dragons knew it, but the battle was raging and out of their control. Tíamantaí's wings flashed out behind her as she launched into the air, sweeping down moments later to slive into the heavy skull of a deformed abomination that was about to cut her mother down from behind. Her mother's weary eyes told Tía that she didn't have much fight left in her.
(TDA) "Keep fighting! This madness will end eventually!"
Tía fought her way back to her mate, receiving a slash from a wayward talon. She hissed at the pain, but fortunately the cut was shallow. Shaking it off she turned back to Taranis, realising too late that the beast responsible for wounding her had been heading in her mother's direction.
(Taranis) "Tía!!!"
Hearing her lover cry out, Tíamantaí whipped around as she began to hurriedly retrace her steps. A vampire stepped into her path with sword in hand, being swiftly felled by a ball of fire blasting it in the stomach. Her action didn't even register in Tia's mind, so focussed was she on others matters. Just as the vampire exploded into flames, Tía saw the same talons that had slashed her tear through her mother, cleaving her directly in two. She leapt forward to catch her mother's falling form, coating herself in the dark brownish-red blood of a Draconite in the process. It was of course too late; the monster had moved on to seek a new victim, and her mother was no longer among the living.
Raising her head and gazing through eyes blurred with anger, she seethed at her enemies. Psychic waves rolled off the young Draconite, crippling those in close proximity to her. They fell, clutching their heads in agony as their skulls cracked under the power that was currently bleeding outwards from her. At the moment she looked up, five vampires descended upon Taranis. He held his own for as long as he could, but like her he was tiring fast. The vampires however were new on the field; this much was obvious from their swiftness and the general lack of blood on their armour.
The vampires eventually got the better of the tired Draconite, cutting him down before Tíamantaí could make it to him. His assailants went down a moment later, being no match for Tía's fury. Her eyes were nothing but pure fire at this point, proving once and for all to never enrage a Draconite or do harm to its mate.
(Taranis) "Tía , Get out…" he coughed as blood spilled from his mouth, "This battle is nearly done, but it is not the end of the war, you need to fight on for our people."
(TDA) "Don't you dare die on me, I've not long gotten you back!"
Tía growled almost in anger at her mate as his blood spilled from the multiple wounds on his body, even as the battle raged on around them.
(Taranis) "You don't need to die here...it's not your time. You aren't even three hundred yet..."
(TDA) "Don't give me that nonsense you idiot, and it's hardly your time either!"
(Taranis) "But it is Tía. The fire in my blood is spent, and there is no more fight left in me. Now go, and live!"
With those words he coughed once again before the last of his life slipped away. The psychic shockwave that emanated from her mind was ruthless as it fanned out at that moment. Anyone near her dropped to their knees screaming in pain as she stood up and retrieved her sword, charging back into the fight and cutting down any unfortunate beast who made the mistake of getting in her way.
At that point a portal opened nearby and Celínas Ancartíus stepped out, narrowly missing a pair of warriors fighting as a dragon was cut down before his eyes. It was then he saw Tía. She was fighting as if possessed, tearing through demons in a manner he had never before seen. Noting the crippled and pained forms around her, it was clear to the sorcerer that her psionic abilities had been fuelled by the carnage, making her a very dangerous opponent. But then he saw the still form of Taranis on the floor, his eyes then drifting to the mutilated corpse of her mother.
The abominations seemed to be fleeing from the distraught Draconite, fighting as a person would when they had seen their comrades slaughtered before them. The young sorcerer conjured a portal behind her, intending to get the both of them out of the wretched place. As far as Celinas was concerned, this battle was over.
(CA) "Tía, you must get out of here now. This battle is over!"
Tía didn't even hear the sorcerer, her mind too clouded with grief and rage. Ancartius used his own powers to hurl her towards the portal, running in the direction of the swirling blue whirlpool himself. The portal however wasn't stable; the hasty conjuring of it, coupled with the battle still raging and Tía's constant blasts of psionic destabilized the portal as she was swept into it.
(TDA) "Ancartius!!!"
It was all she managed to yell out as the bright light within the portal blinded her. It collapsed on Ancartius' end, leaving him cut off and her stranded on a world of which he had no knowledge. After all, his skills at dimensional travel were not as honed as he would have liked.
Tía panicked, claustrophobia rising to the fore without the use of her vision; Draconites tended not to travel through portals for this exact reason. The fact that things went back to normal when you exited such conjurations did not detract from the distress felt on the journey itself. The discomfort didn't last long though, until the bright lights and the crushing feeling closed in on her, pushing her past the brink of consciousness and into the black as her body splashed down into the water.
